Colorado College 2024 Schedule

CSS is locally owned and operated. This is our 24th year servicing Colorado College and 28th overall. We employ current and former college students to work for CSS each summer. None of our services are subcontracted out. We own our trucks and CSS is licensed and insured.

Important Dates

• Our services include Summer Storage, Shipping Services, In-Door Car Storage over Summer break, and, Moving services over the summer break

• We also offer Semester Storage, Short-Term Moving, and Storage services between leases at the end of July and early August, Hauling services, Packing services, Ship to School Services, Ikea services, Freighting services, Assembly disassembly services, Loading and unloading services, Car storage over winter break, Handyman services at a students residence.

• With most of our services, a box kit is provided to your student ahead of time. Each Box Kit has boxes (4 lg, 3 medium, 3 small boxes)a roll of tape, tie tags, printer sticker label paper sheets, a marker

• CC Box Delivery- On- and Off-Campus Students: We deliver our box kits directly to you the 2 Sundays before School lets out on campus. Sunday, May 5th, and Sunday, May 12th, 12 pm- 4 pm.

• We keep in touch with all signed-up students and parents with weekly text and email updates before school lets out starting April 1st and sporadically before school starts up in August.

• We also have extra packing material available for you if you want it like bubble wrap, small and LG TV boxes, poster tubes, mattress covers, and wardrobe boxes. 

• We will bring mattress covers with us in case you have a bed and put them on for you. 

• CC Students- Early pick-up dates are Sunday, May 12th (Mother's Day) and Tuesday, May 14th.

• CC Students- Main pick-up dates are Tuesday, May 14th and Wednesday, May 15th, 

• We offer special Pickups on Thursday, May 16th, and all Summer long and Deliveries all summer long for $250

• CC residence halls open on Saturday, August 24th

• CC delivery dates for all Summer Storage and Ship to School students are Saturday, August 17th, Saturday, August 24th, and Sunday, August 25th ( 3 days to choose from)

• College Student Storage is closed Thanksgiving, December 24th - 26th, December 30th - 31st, January 1st - 2nd,  July 4th, and Monday, August 26th, our staff all starts classes

April 2023 update:

After servicing Colorado College for the past 21 years and storing, shipping, and moving well over 5000 Colorado college students and helping parents out of state, including over 300 plus during the Covid pandemic with in-room pack-ups, and in between blocks when students go abroad, Colorado College housing staff signed a 3-year contract with a national storage company. This housing staff is completely new to the staff we worked with for 21 years and they signed this contract without any warning or chance to bid on the same contract even though we are located 1 hour from the CC campus, located in the state of Colorado, and have been serving Colorado College for 21 years. This national company has no actual moving employees in the state of Colorado. They are not even legal to do business in the state of Colorado no licenses, and are not registered with the PUC that enforces moving regulations in Colorado! They farm the contract they signed with Colorado College to a 3rd party moving company. You as the customer, have no idea who has your items. Their prices for Summer Storage services are double our prices, this is a fact! This company pays a kickback to Colorado College to be the "preferred Summer storage" provider. Colorado College now makes $$ off you as a student or parent of a CC student by referring only to this national company to you as the only Summer storage option. This national company also doubled the prices of your Summer storage services and does not service students going abroad or in between blocks like COLLEGE STUDENT STORAGE does.  If a CC student needs a special pick up or delivery outside the limited dates they offer, the special pick up and delivery fee is $700 on top of your storage prices, which again are now doubled. This contract was never put out for bid. Please contact the Colorado College housing dept for more information or to voice your opinion.

The school's students also appreciate its proximity to Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. Additionally, Colorado College sits at the base of Pikes Peak, an area of the Rockies famous for its hiking trails and cycling paths.
